Healing through the Lens
A Journey of Self-Discovery and Hope
My Approach
Climbing Rocks Studio is not a typical studio with four walls and a ceiling that will limit my journey with my camera to a box. The name Climbing Rocks was given to a pile of rocks along a dirt road at the water's edge many years ago by my daughter, Jaimie. She spent many hours sitting on these rocks with her grandfather talking, eating Teddy Grahams, drinking juice boxes and learning what love really means. I share my dad's love of photography and because of my love of nature and all its beauty, I chose "Climbing Rocks Studio" to be the name of my adventure in photography. The rock pile may be smaller than once remembered and the path is now overgrown with weeds, but the name will always represent nature, beauty and especially love. My dad's life was cut short by cancer, but I feel his presence every time I am walking in nature with my camera. And that pile of rocks will always be where love is felt by both me and my daughter.
